I was recently asked if I would like to join a blog circle with some amazingly talented photographers to document A Day in the Life of my family. I was so excited, it was exactly the kind of project I wanted and needed. That extra push, to document the many small daily things in life that are quickly forgotten with each passing day, milestone, year, (you get the idea). In my family of six, any given day can seem mundane, disorderly, messy, chaotic, but I assure you, this time will go by fast, and when it’s all said and done, (and these kids of mine are grown) it will be these very moments that I will wish I could relive. So you see, this project is something very special, it is going to be a journal of sorts, of my family’s real life, and I’m excited to be able to share it with you.
On this day in the life, it was a balmy 40 degrees, so I took my girls over to a neighboring farm to get outside and enjoy nature. When we returned home, I got my son from his nap. Afterward, we decided to grill, so all of us went outside and hung out in the garage, while my husband made dinner. We finished off the evening with a little dance session, (a family favorite). I hope you enjoy!
